Mr VanHoose's 9th grade students worked together to complete their ITime - Building a Neighborhood. During this SEL activity, students collaborated to build their ideal neighborhood and then presented them to their classmates. Students practiced cooperation, used constructive criticism, and learned how to arrive at a consensus.

A set number of SAT fee waivers are available to qualified students. The next SAT offered at JCHS is September 13th. SAT fee waivers cover two FREE exams and offer access to waived college applications fees via Common App. The SAT is now the KY state exam offered to Juniors (replaces the ACT) and will be given free of charge at school in March. Using a waiver is a great way to get practice in now!
