Johnson County Schools will be offering another day of meal pickups on Friday, January 17. Since it is not an NTI day, we will be able to provide meals for any child aged 18 & under regardless of school enrollment or location of residence. One breakfast & one lunch meal per child will be available for pickup from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at any elementary school or JCMS. Santa came early for the JC School Based IT Generalist apprentices! As part of the Apprenticeship Building America grant, ten former apprentices and eleven current apprentices each received a $500 gift card to cover employment supplies and incidentals such as clothing, transportation, book/equipment purchases, and more. Upon completion of their apprenticeship and mastery of all competencies, the eleven current apprentices will receive an additional post-employment gift card of the same value. Gift cards were delivered by project director Clabe Slone. Apprentices are supervised by Community Schools Coordinator Mr. Andrew Castle and Career Support Specialist Ms. Amanda Austin.
