Highland kindergarten teachers are excited to see some new faces tomorrow! Kindergarten Orientation is tomorrow evening, 5:30-6:30! 😊


We hope to see all of our 2022-23 kindergarten students and their parents tomorrow evening at 5:30!


Highlanders participated in a special eating etiquette lesson presented by Brenda Cockerham through the University of Kentucky extension office. Ms. Cockerham showed the students a basic table setting, discussed manners and allowed them to practice what had been discussed.




This Thursday is our Kindergarten Orientation! Parents, bring your 2022-23 kindergarten student and join us in the library at 5:30. Feel free to reach out to one of our kindergarten teachers for more information! Hope to see you there!

The Highland UNITE Club sponsored a school wide book drive during Read Across America Week. They collected over 1,600 books!!! The books will go in the school library, classroom libraries and in a give away box for students.


Highland UNITE Club students participated in a special art project with local artist Kenna Spears. The students created art with a message of hope. The art work will be displayed at the Rx Summit in Atlanta, Georgia.

Miss Natalie Slone is the newest 4th grader to join the 100 point club at Highland Elementary! This means she has already met her end of the year AR goal! Way to go, Natalie!


Our 6th grade students loved playing in what little bit of snow we had left!


We can't believe it's already that time of year, but we are so excited to meet our upcoming kindergarten students and their parents! Join us on April 7th for Kindergarten Orientation!


Jaxton Marshall won traditional Anti Littering poster for K-3. Cara Stephens and Natalie Slone won second in Anti Littering digital for 4-6. We are proud of our wildcats.
