
This week to celebrate Earth Day, Mrs. Adkins' class cleaned up trash around the school. We also listened to the book, "One Plastic Bag" by Miranda Paul and created bracelets out of plastic bags.

Highland Elementary supports KY Farmers through a Farm to School Grant! Our 2nd-grade classroom spent the day at Griffith's Family Farm, learning all about the growth cycles of our food. A special thank you to the Griffith Family, Ms. Erica, Ms. Judy and Mrs. Lemaster for the wonderful learning stations and taste testing for our students!

6th Grade completed a scavenger hunt to find the area and perimeter of polygons on the coordinate plane.

Mrs. Green's 2nd grade class completed an experiment to see if Easter Peeps would dissolve faster in water, soda, or vinegar! They had a blast! We would to thank Miss. Dianna Ward, a junior TA, for helping us with our science experiment!











Second grade students in Mrs. Adkins' class have been learning all about plants. Yesterday they planted flower seeds.


The Easter Bunny came to visit!
