Monday, January 31st, will be Non-Traditional Instructional Day 6 in the Johnson County School District. Some side roads are still ice and snow-covered. Students, please make sure to check your Google Classroom for scheduled Google Meet times and assignments.


Mrs. Adams’ 3rd grade class are celebrating leveling up with 11 Wildcat Cafe Wins. Way to go to this awesome group!!



A big shout out to Highland PTO for the purchase of shelving and storage containers. This will make a big difference in the STREAM Lab!



NTI Day 5 Friday, January 28th, due to some winter weather conditions this morning. Snow is also possible during the afternoon commute, along with the possibility of heavy snow squalls. Students, let's work hard to complete all assignments!

We would like to thank Johnson County Board Member, Bob Hutchison for supporting the students and staff of Johnson County.


Wildcats held their first leader In Me Rally this year. Student leaders were celebrated and Johnson County Board Member, Bob Hutchison was spotlighted during the rally.


Third grade students celebrated leveling up to Level 2 with an Ice Cream Social. They are exhibiting great leadership skills in our Recipe for Success Cafeteria Competition.


The 2020-21 Highland UNITE Club won Region 3 Club of the Year . UNITE Director Alyson Salyer presented the award to representatives of the UNITE Club. The students received a beautiful Eagle trophy and $500 .

The Johnson County School District will operate on regular schedule Monday, January 24th. We are looking forward to a fantastic day of learning!


There will be no school Friday, January 21st. This will be a traditional snow day.


On NTI Day 3, 4th graders explored area model division by demonstrating their strategies on FlipGrid. Students then engaged in mathematical discourse with FlipGrid feedback.
