Highland Elementary's 4th & 5th grade Academic Team is preparing for their season with some practices and KAAC Pre-season Testing. We are excited to have 3 students place in the top 20 in the STATE out of 60-70 testers! What an accomplishment!


The K-2 students at Highland enjoyed listening to The Polar Express with Mrs. Shauna Patton. Mrs. Patton also brought several special items including the first gift of Christmas and a real golden ticket. Thank you for sharing the magic of Christmas Mrs. Patton.



We had the best day in our 5th and 6th grade reading classes today. We enjoyed pjs, hot chocolate, and some good books! 📚 ☕️

Happy Thanksgiving from Mrs. Bevins' class!!! We had a great time learning about turkeys, writing about why we are thankful, learning about Pilgrims and Native Americans, making teepees, and making butter!











Our students engaged in several activities at the FSCS District STLP. These students will participate in the state STLP event in the spring.






Congratulations to our 4th grade STLP Cinemania Team! They placed first in the K-5 category at the FSCS District STLP.



Third grade students practiced finding the main idea and supporting details using their weekly reading story.
