As you have heard, one of our beloved Eagles, Cathy Gullett, passed away yesterday. Services will be on Monday in the Gymnasium at Johnson Central High School At 2:00pm. To be able to accommodate and to honor Mrs. G, Johnson County Schools will be releasing early on Monday. Elementary Schools will release at 11:30am; JCMS and JCHS will release at 12:00pm. With sadness, we want to pass along the news that a former Johnson County Eagle, Mrs. Mary Ann Lavender, has passed away. Mrs.Lavender retired from the Johnson County School System where she taught English for several years. Earlier in her career, she also taught atOil Springs High School and Meade Memorial High School. A Memorial Service/Celebration of LIfe will be held a 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Carter Funeral Home in Prestonsburg. Please keep the Mrs. Lavender’s family in our thoughts and prayers.

Golden Eagle Family, It is with heavy hearts that we announce that beloved teacher, golf coach, cheer sponsor, basketball book keeper, Eagle's Cry sponsor, KRTA president, and #1 JCHS fan Cathy Goble Gullett passed away at her home at age 69. Gullett, a graduate of Meade High School, was a staple at Johnson Central events - even after retirement. She, along with her husband Nelson, epitomized what it means to love where you work and love the people who surround you. Gullett has touched countless lives in Johnson County Schools and will be missed by all who knew her. Arrangements will be posted as we get them.
